Paper I

Part 'A'
25 Questions on General Knowledge - Questions on current events, sports, history, geography, basic economics, general polity, Indian Constitution, science environment etc. - 25 Marks

Part 'B'
25  Questions on Mathematics of matriculation standard which may cover
number system, simplification, decimals, corrections, simple and
compound interest, per  centage, average, profit  &  loss, discount,
menstruation, time & work and time & distance etc. - 25 Marks

Part "C"
25  Questions on English covering grammar (prepositions, adverbs,
conjunction,direct/ indirect speech, singular  &  plural, tenses,
antonyms/synonyms etc - 25 Marks

Part “D" 
25 Questions on Reasoning and analytical Ability - 25 Marks.


Paper II

Computer/ Typing Test (Paper-II): The Typing Test shall be for a duration of 30 minutes (15 minutes each for Typewriting and data entry) consisting of one passage of 450 words in English or 375 words in Hindi to be typed with a minimum speed of 30/25 words per minute respectively & Data entry of some figures and letters each carrying equal marks on Computers. The typing test and test of data entry operations will be conducted on Computer key board but not on type writer.

PA / SA Direct Rect applications available in ONLINE

Good news for applicants of PA / SA Recruitment 2011 & 2012. You can get it through Online.
Dte has requested the outsourced agency to print 10 lacs OMR kits for sale throughout India thro selected POs. Due to huge sale of forms, it is difficult to print within short period. Hence Dte is decided to upload the forms in www.indiapost.gov.in so as to download by the applicants.
Online application kits will be available in www.indiapost.gov.in from 03.09.12 to25.09.12 only.
Those applied thro OMR kits need not apply again.
Online Procedure :
Click “Register Online” link.
Enter the details like a. Name b.DoB c.e mail ID d. Alternative e mail ID.
Click Submit button.
The following forms will be sent to the provided e mail ID within 24 hrs.
a. Special instruction sheet.
b. Application form.
c. Instruction sheet / Information brochure (11 sheets).
Fees :
Cost of Application form - Rs.50
Exam fee – Rs.200. Female, SC, ST & PH applicants are exempted, however they should pay Rs.50.
Total Rs.250 should be paid under Unclassified Receipts thro any POs and attach Original alongwith the Application form. Applicants can keep Xerox copies.

Postal Assistant/Stg Assistant- Revised recruitment rules 2011re


Department of Posts has notified Department of Posts ( Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants) (Group-C Non-gazetted) Recruitment Rules, 2011.  These have been published in Official Gazette on 3.11.2011.  They come into force from the date of publication in Official Gazette.

For direct recruitment 10+2 or 12 Standard candidates with atleast 60% marks with English as compulsory subject [ excluding vocational stream], 55% for OBC and 45% for SC/ST will be eligible.

GDS should have obtained 50% marks in +2 or 12th standard with English as a Compulsory subjectand should have put in minimum 5 years service.They should be within 30 years of age (35 years for those belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and 33 years for other Backward Classes).

     In the light of forthcoming strike from 5.7.11  i am forwarding two attachments to all of you.  Those of you who are interested on this issue may please go through the attachment.  File named "prev_corres" contains all the past correspondence made with the all India union central cadre for  your ready  review.     File named "demand" contains the points why we should insist the union office bearers at divisional/Regional/Circle or All India cadre for including the demand for Rs.4200/- as grade pay to Postal Assistant and the same also contains the e-post message.

      You can utilize the  e-post message in the demand file or you can prepare you own message  or else send the demand page itself to union cadre so that they can understand the subject and then reflect on the issue
