New Reports in Speed Post site

Two new report is added in the Speed Post MIS site . 
Please login the site https://services.ptcmysore.gov.in/Speednet/ 
with the Username and password. 
You will find two new report under Tools option
1.Speednet Upgradation
2.Communication status

STEP FIRST : 

1.  Run the attached script master data updation solution using ScriptTool.exe.
2.  Obtain the latest office data file for the concerned circle. This file can be downloaded by the SA of SPC from the SPC Offices Configuration site.
3.  Update the offices data using the option in Speednet communication-->Update Offices.
4.  Update the offices data under Supervisor-->Master-->Offices-->Add Additional Offices-->Update option.

STEP SECOND:
Run the attached script Office name null solution using ScriptTool.exe.

SpeedNet-UID Status Update



1) Purpose : To facilitate Post Offices in updating the status as 'RECEIVED' or 'NOT RECEIVED' for the Speed Post UID articles shown as received in UID Reports for that office.
   -------

2) Pre-requisites :
   --------------  
  a) .Net Framework 2.0 or higher
  b) Update 6 for SpeedNet Version 3.1.2
  c) Latest SpeedNet Communication (.Net environment)

3) Installation Procedure:
   ----------------------

  a) Please run the POSPCC16102012.EXL file using ScriptTool.
      b) Please copy the SpeedNet-UID Status Update.exe file to the EMSClient folder (where SpeedNet Communication.exe exists).
      c) Please create Shortcut of SpeedNet-UID Status Update.exe on Desktop.


4) Operational Procedure :
   ---------------------

   a) Login : Use the same Login Credentials of SpeedNet-Operator to Login to this application.

   b) Send Request : Click on "Send Request" button to send a request to Data Centre to get data of undelivered UID Articles above 25 days.
      One request is allowed per day.
    Once "Send Request" is done, this button will remain disabled till next day.
  Run the SpeedNet Communication and wait for receipt of data from Data Centre.

   c) Fetch Data   : When UID Articles data is received from Data Centre, "Fetch Data" button will be enabled.
  Click on "Fetch Data" button to fetch the data received from Data Centre.
  Once "Fetch Data" is done, this button will be disabled.

   d) Status Selection : Pending UID Articles data, if any, will be shown in the Grid View for selection of Operator.
  Select UID article status by selecting 'Received' or 'Not Received' from the dropdown list against each UID articles in Grid View.

  Shortcut keys to select the UID articles status:
  "Tab" key : Select the Grid Cell
  "F8" key   : 'Received'
  "F9" key : 'Not Received'

   e) Report : If any UID Article(s) which are received physically and scanned in SpeedNet are available, a Report will be generated and "Report" button will be enabled.
  Click on "Report" button to export the Report (.txt format).

  Proper returns for the articles shown in the Report should be taken under SpeedNet Operator --> Delivery --> "Returns" or "Remarks From Other Offices" or "Other Office Articles - Delivery Data", as applicable.

  If no UID Articles are available for the Report, "Report" button will be disabled.

   f) Update Data : If any UID Article is pending for status updation, "Update Data" button will be enabled.
  Select the status of each UID Articles shown in the Grid View as explained above at (d).
  Click on "Update Data" button to update the status of the UID Articles at Data Centre.
  If status of all UID Articles is updated, the "Update Data" button will be disabled.
  Run the SpeedNet Communication to transfer the updated data to Data Centre.

THIS PATCH IS A MUST TO BE EXECUTED AT ALL OFFICES WHO DO THE BNPL BILLING THROUGH SPEEDNET.
This patch is released to provide the foloiwng solutions.
1. This patch will fix the bug in BNPL Billing.
If this patch is not applied then there will be difference in the actual bill amount to
that of the Bill Amount generated in the SpeedNet from April 2012 Bill onwards.
2. Invalid Use of Null error in Receipts/Close TB/Dispatch Bags option Fixed
with a Message To fix the problem locally.
3. Error - "Data Not Saved" while Opening UID Bag is fixed
4. My Office Details - Pin Code View has been corrected for Offices whose Pin Codes are
changed.
5. SpeedNet Manifest offline printing problem solved.
6. It includes the earlier DBPatch solution -for not fetching the InsRPs from POS to SpeedNet
through Network Fetch.

Pre-Requisite:

Speednet 3.1.2 should have been upgraded with the latest rlease of SpeedNet on 15/12/2011

Upgrade the DB first with DBscript file.
=============================================
1. Take Full Backup of POSPCC DB
2. Execute the DB Script through Script Tool.exe
3. On Successful upgradation of DB, go to Step II.
II. Now copy the Dlls and EXE:

Copying Dlls and Exe file into SpeedNet Client Installation Path:
------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Copy all the Dlls and the Exe file from the folder and copy the same
into C:\Program Files\SpeedNet folder ( default installation folder)
3. Register all the Dlls.

Now you may please run the speedNet and confirm the successful login.

In SQL 2008 when we fetch counter articles


In SQL 2008  when we fetch counter articles in Speednet sometimes we may get one error that "Counter Articles not found if your using SQL 2005 please refer readme".

   This error is due to Surface Area Configuration of SQL . To solve this problem please run following query

Release of Revised MNOP Script
It is decided to keep both POS and SpeedNet MNOP Updation Script at a single point download. This script has to be used at all the offices using POS and SpeedNet except those SpeedNet offices who have been provided with Direct Bag Close Script.
Based on the latest Sorting Extract / Orders received from the Directorate, the Revised MNOP Script is released and the details of the release are as follows.
This script will contain the entire Hub Master data as per the requirement /modifications - including all the previous revisions.

SMS status reporting for Speed Post & eMO

We are happy to launch SMS tracking facility as an initiative to provide better service to our customers. Initially, the service is available for Speed Post and eMO (electronic money order). 
The steps involved:
1) You need to send SMS to 55352 in the following format:

For Speed Post:
     

SP<space>Speed Post number
                                                       OR
EMS<space>Speed Post number

For eMO:


MO<space>eMO PNR No
                                     OR
EMO<space>eMO PNR No
2) 'IN' at the end of Speed Post number need not be given. Eg. if the Speed Post number is EK123456789in; you need to send the message as: SP EK123456789                   
The service is not case sensitive - you may use capitals or lower case or a mix of both.  
3) Speed Post data is available from 19 September 2009 onwards.
     eMO data is available from 23 September 2009 onwards.
4) The data will be retained upto 3 months from the date of booking for the purpose of SMS tracking.
5) The service is available across all service providers in the country. Rates charged by the service provider are applicable.

Speednet Updates 06-04-2011

1. Flat Rate box article can't be accpted.
    Provision made under Receipts-> Collection Articles with Booking data option.

2. Deposit Bag - Report error
    Solved
3. Foreign Articles can't be booked for BNPL Customers under BNPL-> Collection Articles with Data
     entry option
4. Reports -> Other Reports-> Returns Not Taken - error - "Operation not allowed when the object is
     close" -
   solved.

Steps:
Pre Requisite: Should have been upgraded to latest FTP pload 21/03/2011.

1. Unzip the solution file to get a DLLand EXE folder and a READ ME
2. Copy all the files in the DLL folder into SpeedNt folder of Client
    ( default path - C:\program files\Speednet)
3. Register all DLLs ( Just Click Register DLL.bat available in the folder)
4. Run the exe.

On Flat Rate Box Problem :
Please note that Flat Rate Box has to be collected with article type Express Parcel only.

Note: Please check this solution in one of the client systems and if all options ar working fine in that PC then replace all other clients and please send PTC Mysore a report of confirmation of solution.

WHILE COMING ABOVE ERROR FOR SPCC NAME DOWNLOAD BELOW FILE AND PAST IN THE SPEEDNET CLIENT

Unzip the file to get a Folder Spednet3.1.2_Exe_And_Dlls


Copy all the Dlls and the exe file into SpeedNet Client Folder ( default

folder is C:\Program Files)

Register all the Dll ( if you don't register the Dll you will not get the result)

Now Start the Speednet Client and check the My Office option

Speednet 3.1 Solutions in SQL 2005 environment.
